Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hing Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most popular Indian actors. Her first fame was her role in Tezaab from the 1980s where she co-starred with an established actor Anil Koopor. Her next appearance was in Dil in which she shared screen space with Aamir. In Mumbai the city she was born by middle class parents. When she was a young age, she started to learn dance. Early in her life, when she started acting as a young actress, most of the films she created were not successful. She found fame and became one of the top film actors. She took a break from acting due to her marriage, before going back to the entertainment industry. She played a major role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film about women's struggles in India. Dixit is nominated to win fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she won eight. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize awarded to civilians in India is bestowed to Dixit.
